Counselor’s Corner Issue 30

Dear Incubators,

Today was a big day for North Shore's Mary Martin and her class. They've been eagerly counting down.

17 days.
17 days of nurturing.
17 days of monitoring.
17 days of hoping and praying.
17 days of waiting.

And yesterday was the day (click on the video below to watch the actual event!). All regularly-scheduled plans were canceled. The energy in the room was palpable as the students gathered around the egg incubator. These children had spent weeks peering in with pride, commenting on the slightest changes, and dreaming of how each egg would develop into something beautiful. And all along, they had trusted that there was development happening -- that God was doing his work. In fact, a "jiggling egg" was spotted the day before, so all signs indicated the soon emergence. And it finally happened! Students were able to experience the miracle of baby chicks.

Likewise, our Heavenly angels have been eagerly counting down.

180 days.
180 days of nurturing.
180 days of monitoring.
180 days of hoping and praying.
180 days of waiting.

For the entirety of the 2020-2021 school year, all regularly-scheduled heavenly plans have been canceled. The energy in the in the Kingdom has been palpable as the angels have gathered around on a daily basis, watching your students in your classroom incubator. They've spent weeks peering in with pride, commenting on the slightest changes, and dreaming of how each child would develop into something beautiful.

And all along you've seen signs indicating potential growth. You've trusted that development was happening -- that God was doing His work. There might have been visible sightings evidencing the new emergence of knowledge and spiritual faith. And it's finally happened. You are able to experience the miracle of transformed students.

Thank you for the incubation period in your classroom that's created student birth and rebirth! It's been exciting to watch.
